Delivery

All orders are sent by Royal Mail First Class. Delivery charges are as follows:

Order value up to £14 - postage £1.70,  £14-£20 - £2.20,  £20-£28 - £2.95,  £28 or more - £3.50

We aim to despatch the order on the same business day (Monday to Friday) for orders received before 10:00am and the next business day for orders received after 10:00am.

If you provide us an incorrect delivery address and a parcel is returned to us or undelivered because of that incorrect address we reserve the right to charge additional postage to cover the re-sending of your parcel to the correct address. The risk in delivery of the goods passes to you on the commencement of supply or transportation to you

Cancel/Return Policy

Returns

If you do need to return something it must be unused and in the original packaging. The customer is fully responsible for all the shipping costs for return/exchange* unless the items are damaged, defective or incorrect**. Please inform us in writing by email if you wish to return the goods.

* Recorded delivery. All goods should be returned using recorded delivery (proof of postage will not be accepted) , and must be insured for the full value of the contents. Hilary Janes’s cannot be held responsible for lost or uninsured packages.

** If, in the unlikely event that the wrong/faulty goods are supplied, please contact us in writing by e-mail. A full refund, including postage costs will be made on receipt of the returned goods. Please include a description of the damage if applicable.

We will issue a full refund for the price you paid for the item within 30 days after we received the goods from you in required condition as above.

When advising us of cancellation of an order, or that you received damaged goods, please email Shop@HilaryJanes.co.uk, or write to the return address below. Send all returned goods to: Hilary Jane’s, 8, Warren Road, Leigh-on-Sea, Essex. SS9 3TS.

Cancellation by us

We reserve the right to cancel the contract between us if:

(a) we have insufficient stock to deliver the goods you have ordered (b) we do not deliver to your area (c) one or more goods you ordered was listed at an incorrect price due to a typographical error or an error in the pricing information received by us from our suppliers.

If we do cancel the contract we will notify you by email and will re-credit your account any sum deducted by us from your credit card or Paypal account as soon as possible,but in any event within 30 days of your order. We will not be obliged to offer any additional compensation for disappointment suffered.

Exchange Your Goods

Please inform us in writing by email if you wish to exchange the goods. We’re happy to exchange the goods within 10 working days of receipt of goods with your responsibility of covering the cost of the return/re-shipment.

Sale items are non-refundable or returnable.

Please note that fabric cut for your specific order cannot be exchanged/returned (unless faulty).
